Hamas has released a chilling propaganda video showing six Israeli hostages who were recently found dead in Gaza. The footage, shared on Hamas' Telegram account, depicted the hostages speaking in gaunt, black-and-white visuals. The video, captioned "We Will Show Their Last Messages," promises to reveal the final moments of the abductees.
Among the slain was Hersh Goldberg-Polin, a 23-year-old Israeli-American citizen who was kidnapped during the October 7 Re'im music festival massacre. Goldberg-Polin, who identified himself in the video, was visibly injured, having lost part of his arm in a grenade attack. The other hostages, identified as Eden Yerushalmi, 24; Ori Danino, 25; Alex Lobanov, 32; Carmel Gat, 40; and Almog Sarusi, 27, were also shown in the footage.
The hostages were discovered dead on Saturday during an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) operation in tunnels beneath Rafah, a city in the Gaza Strip. According to IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, the hostages were likely killed just before Israeli forces arrived on the scene.
In response to the murders, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed profound shock, stating, "He who murders abductees does not want a deal. We are in a difficult day. The heart of the entire nation was torn."
