The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) has launched its largest-ever fundraising and expenditure effort to support former President Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. In an exclusive announcement shared with Fox News, the RJC committed to raising at least $5 million from its donors and the RJC Victory Fund super PAC. Additionally, the RJC has pledged a $15 million independent expenditure, marking the most significant independent expenditure in the organization’s history.
“This will be the RJC's largest effort ever to mobilize support in the Jewish community for President Trump,” said RJC national political director Sam Markstein. The move aims to galvanize the Jewish Republican community amid growing dissatisfaction with President Biden’s administration.
The RJC’s announcement comes at a time of heightened tension on college campuses nationwide, where anti-Israel protests have erupted over Israel’s conflict with Hamas in Gaza. These demonstrations have drawn significant media attention, with protesters criticizing President Biden’s support for Israel and urging universities to sever financial ties with the Israeli government.
Polls indicate a stark division in opinion on these protests. According to a recent Fox News national poll, 80% of Republicans oppose the demonstrations, while only 15% support them. Among Democrats, opinions are split, with 50% supporting and 41% opposing the protests.
Markstein emphasized the urgency of the RJC's efforts, stating, “As antisemitism spikes to record highs and America’s relationship with our ally Israel continues to reach new lows, the Jewish community is more energized than ever to turn the page from the failures, broken promises, and betrayals by Joe Biden. November 5 cannot come soon enough.”
The RJC, a four-decades-old grassroots organization, represents tens of thousands of Jewish Republicans across the United States. The late Republican mega donor and casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, who passed away in 2021, was a key figure in the RJC, providing substantial financial support.
The organization’s significant financial commitment underscores the importance of the upcoming election and the critical role the Jewish Republican community is expected to play. The RJC aims to harness this momentum to secure a victory for Trump in his rematch against Biden.
